Our ModernBrain students have matriculated at these highly selective institutions, among others (Harvard University, Washington University in St. Louis, Brown University, Stanford University, Duke University, Yale University, Georgetown University, and Tufts University).

What's Our Story?

We soft-launched this program in 2021. Within a year, our students were admitted to the Ivy League, nationally top-ranked universities, top liberal arts colleges, and honors programs at public colleges. In fall 2022, we began offering our counseling services both to private clients and to schools in need of support.

Our college counseling director, Dr. Iain, has been mentoring college applicants since 2015.

  • He is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling.
  • His curriculum is inspired by best principles and practices from three of his certification programs: Harvard's Certificate in Advanced Education Leadership, UCLA's College Counseling Certificate, and Vanderbilt's Doctor of Education. All three institutions are ranked in the top five nationally for graduate education, according to US News and World Report (for 2022-2023).
  • His previous mentees have been consistently admitted to other top universities (including Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Dartmouth, University of Virginia, University of Pennsylvania, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Rice, University of Notre Dame, Emory, University of Michigan, Carnegie Mellon University, and NYU) and liberal arts colleges (including Reed, Pomona, Bowdoin, Claremont McKenna, Middlebury, Davidson, Colorado College, Bryn Mawr, Pitzer, Skidmore, Whitman, Occidental, Dickinson, Rhodes, and Bard).

Our assistant college counselor is Coach Kate, a graduate of Brown University. Coach Kate was a national speech and debate champion in high school and a member of Brown's mock trial team in college. She was one of Dr. Iain's previous mentees and specializes in student outreach and communication.
